Names of males between the ages of 18 and 45 in the Society at Canterbury, N.H. [1863].

Presumably compiled when the Canterbury, New Hampshire, community faced the threat of male conscription, this list contains twenty-four names. It also includes the age, place of birth, occupation, and infirmities, if any (right hand maimed, subject to fits, partially insane, weak lungs, etc.), of those listed. One man is noted as not being a citizen of the United States. The occupations were tin plate worker, dentist, clothier (two in number), farmer (thirteen in number), wood turner, gardener (3), broom maker, machineist, and trustee.
